Students who receive a federal Pell Grant during the current year.
AOS Emergency Fund
Funds are distributed based upon a student’s individual needs. Funding requests can be made by submitting an application.
Block-By-Block Meal Vouchers
Active MSU students who do not have a valid active meal plan or flex dollars can apply to the Block by Block Program. If you qualify, your card will be loaded with five block meals that can be used at the Perry Cafeteria and/or the Fresh Food Company.
Bully’s Pantry
Visit the pantry at 120 Morgan Avenue on the Starkville Campus for free, nutritious food, personal care items, household goods, school supplies, and baby items.

Emergency Loan
Emergency Short Term loans are available in amounts up to $500 for students who are enrolled at least half time. These loans are for emergency situations only and are limited to two times during the student’s stay at MSU.
Emergency Winter Session Book Loans
Emergency winter session book loans are available for students enrolled in at least three credit hours during the winter session to assist with the purchase of books. Winter session book loans range from $50-$300 and are limited to two times during the student's stay at MSU. Students must not be defaulted on any emergency loan and must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress. Note: The book loan page goes live in November through the conclusion of the winter session.
Maroon Meals
Maroon Meals notifies current Mississippi State students via email when free food is available on campus, including its location and how long it will be available.
Student Relief Fund
Emergency relief for acute needs as a result of house fire, household catastrophic or significant life event as examples. This fund typically does not provide money to pay off account balances or for items that are already covered by insurance. Provide information about the request and any associated documentation.
